Ukraine Posters And Their AppealWhen you see Ukrainian posters, you will see a wonderful picture for the Ukrainian landscape and country. You can find old farmhouses, beautiful mountain scenery, and gorgeous snowy wonderlands in the Ukrainian prints. Some of these gorgeous prints may be found in a travel agent's office. These would make a customer want to go to this country just to see the countryside and other wonderful scenery. Finding a Ukrainian poster may be as hard as finding a needle in a haystack. You may be able to go on line or to an antique store to locate a Ukraine print. You may be able to find several depending on the seller and where you look for them. Sometimes they can be worth more if they are framed. If they don't have any creases or tears, you may also find they are collectible. If you are a collector, these would make a great addition to your other posters. These types of posters and prints have places, symbols, or graphics on them. They also tell a simple story of the Ukraine land and people that live there. Posters of Kiev are usually of abstract images. A Kiev poster will be quite unique in image and color. They are full of concentric shapes and lines. They are also very vivid in their detail. Kharkov prints are of the magnificent city itself. These show locations in and around the location. Odessa posters have images of a great Ukrainian city and its seaport. Odessa is the principal seaport of Ukraine and it is conveniently located on the Black Sea. Odessa also claims being a naval base and a tourist resort. Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky painted a impressive print called “In the port of Odessa” which depicts several ships making their way to the port there. If you purchase Cremea prints, you will get great picture of a beautiful Ukrainian resort. Some prints you find may also be of the Crimean war. The Crimean flag can be seen in several of the prints on line as can the coat of arms. If you come across an Orange Revolution poster, you will see a picture with hundreds of people in the street. The movie itself is about a protest effort to get the appointed president out of office. These people wore the color orange to differentiate themselves from the people who supported the other side. Over one million people marched in the streets for seventeen days in freezing weather. People were ready to stand and fight for what they believed in. The actual revolution took place between November of 2004 and January of 2005 in Ukraine. All of this because the 2004 presidential election was compromised due to corruption and fraud. It was said that the election was rigged by the candidates that were already in office. The protesters marched on Kiev daily. They finally required the supreme court to have a revote of the election so everything could be fair. All of these protests began to cripple the government making it finally announce defeat. |
